Sea what I did there? And there, too? Clever, eh... but "he who would pun would pick a pocket".
We went to Allagash Brewing, which has great beer, but kind of a weird staff. We didn't get a tour because one must sign up online. Apparently the three kids in the front room were all too busy updating their facebook pages to walk us around. Anyway, we bought some beer.
Taking pictures of Sarah is a little like taking pictures of Gradpa Cressman... she never stops moving for me. I'm like the David Attenborough of family photography.
These are from a train yard down by the ports of the Old Port District.
Can't pass up an opportunity to photograph entropy...
Sarah looking lovely in the sunshine through the window of Crema, a little coffee break on our walking tour of Portland.
These are surreptitious photos of an incredible little restaurant we visited on our second night in Portland. It was called Fore Street and we'd seen it the night before from the pub we'd stopped at. Fore Street was lit with real candle chandeliers and glowed with a warmth befitting such lighting. We hemmed and hawed over where to go. We knew Fore Street didn't have any lobster on its menu this night, but we just couldn't pass it up.
I guess you could say the same about my wood oven fired duck and polenta with greens. Man, was this a good dinner! The ambiance was just outstanding. The restaurant was warmly lit and smelled, not overwhelmingly of the wood burning in the oven. It was just what we needed at the end of a long cool New England day.

Sarah got the wood oven Arctic Char with chive mayonnaise, celeriac and onions. Yes, that's right folks, she ordered a whole fish dinner! She's getting very brave.
